Reversible Reactions is part of a new exhibition entitled “Owning Earth” at Unison Arts, New Paltz, NY. Working with a photovoltaic array and rain capture, the project acts as a life support system for Sarah Max Beck’s, Self Built Straw Man, by supporting mycorrhizal organisms, and soil health via hydroponic irrigation.

As a sculptural installation, the project questions the notion of impact, from new pollution to primordial biochemical processes, by considering human influence on Earth’s systems as a tool for shaping the environment through an equal exchange of energy, and resources.
